When SL decided to name new C30 metro trains after celebrated musical artists, we were tasked with selecting the names, generating PR and producing the naming event. We handpicked two respected music journalists – Fredrik Strage and Ametist Azordegan – to make the selections, sparking a public debate along the way. Which artists truly deserve a place on the metro trains? How far can the idea of a "Stockholm connection" be stretched? And which genre is more representative, hip-hop or black metal?

 

By the time the naming event took place in Liljeholmen, celebrities and journalists had lined up to attend – and the news quickly spread far beyond Stockholm.
