The construction sector accounts for 21% of the world’s  greenhouse gas emissions, yet emissions data at the project, developer, and municipal levels haven’t been publicly available. Without public data, reducing emissions becomes harder.

Together with Architects Climate Action Network Sweden, we created Embodied Carbon Declared, an online platform displaying declared emissions from Swedish construction projects, sortable by project, municipality, developer, and building type. The website, which is continuously updated with emissions from new projects, was in 2024 selected as a World Changing Idea in Climate by Fast Company.
